When i install the catel 3.0 setup the codesnippets are not in VS. And also the folder "snippets" in the instalation path is empty. So i have to download the codesnippets an add them manualy to VS. The same to templates.

We will investigate this, thanks for letting us know.

For the Codesnippet "Define a new view model class" there is no tooltip ;-)

What do you mean with that? I have checked the code snippet, and it does contain a tooltip.

In the SnippetManger in VS when you hover the snippets. There is no tooltip on "Code snippet for a new view model class"

That's because it fits in the window, then it shows no tooltip. The tooltip is only shown when the text does not fit in the window...

Oh *shame*. Sorry

I just installed catel as well using NuGet and am not seeing the codesnippets either.  Please explain what I need to do to make them visible.  The above discussion seems cryptic.  I have never used NuGet or a 3rd party's snippets before so please be verbose.

Hello Hugh,

There seems to be an issue with the latest installer. We have it on the list to take a look at, but for now, you can do the following:

1) Download the code snippets here

2) Unzip the right directory (either C# or VB.NET) to:

    * FOR C#: [MY DOCUMENTS]\Visual Studio 2010\Code Snippets\Visual C#\My Code Snippets\Catel

    * FOR VB.NET: [MY DOCUMENTS]\Visual Studio 2010\Code Snippets\Visual Basic\My Code Snippets\Catel

Then the code snippets should show up. The same for the item and project templates, which should go into:

[MY DOCUMENTS]\Visual Studio 2010\Templates
